Hudson County Family Court What to Expect With the CoronaVirus

By Santo Artusa on March 22, 2020

Now that the Corona or Chinese Virus is taking its toll on the world, the way courts are operating has changed for the time being. The court will not permit in-person appearances unless it is an emergency.  So what do I do? How do I file? Motions and applications in family court are now heard via phone and argued that way. You need to call into the court and appear by phone and argue your case. Phone hearings and motions are faster than in-person hearings and you need to move quickly, think quick, talk quick and rebut quick. In short, you need a top family court lawyer now more than ever because you will not get sympathy for crying in court, because there is no court (in-person), you need to pay more attention than before as you may not be able to hear everything perfectly via phone.

So you have to appear by phone. It is still wise to use a lawyer to argue your case more than ever. If you want to file a case in the Hudson County Family Court or have a case coming up, contact us on 973-337-9643.
